Henry is better....almost!

So Henry had his first bought with illness. Not fun. I hate seeing him not feel well and a sick visit at the pediatricians office on a Saturday isn't fun at all.
It all started with a runny nose and we assumed it was teething. Maybe I should say we were hoping it was teething. Henry only has his two bottom teeth and he is dying to get into "real" food so we were hoping maybe some more were on the way. However, that innocent runny nose soon became accompanied by a nasty fever and a very cranky baby who just wanted to lay around. Not like Henry at all since he is a crawling machine now! We decided to take him to the doctor Saturday morning to be on the safe side and they determined he had the beginning of a sinus infection. :( Poor thing :( Can you imagine being so little and your head hurting and all of that pressure and you couldn't tell anyone? I'm glad we made the trip to Savannah!
Oh! But while we were there, Dr. Pedigo wanted to check his ears and make sure there was no fluid on them. She started to look but said Henry had wax build-up she would have to clean out first and left the room to go get it. I ASSUMED she meant an ear wash. WRONG! She brought in this little metal tool and proceeded to scrape Henry's ear canal while I had to hold him down, SCREAMING by his shoulders. It was absolutely awful. Jeremy was in the corner shouting over Henry's screams " He has never cried like this since the day he was born!" I think he was a little mad at the doc ;) Once we left the office, we decided Henry deserved something for going through such a traumatic experience so we ran into Best Buy and bought him the "Best of Elmo" DVD. Henry can hear Elmo's voice and just light up. He LOVES him :)
Anyway, he has been on antibiotics since Saturday and has not run fever since Sunday so things are on the up and up. Just a little congestion is left behind. Let's pray he stays well and isn't sick again for a while. He made it a long time without any illness and Dr. Ben tells me all the time its because he is home with me. Just another incentive to stay with my baby :)
